Twelve things an All-on-6 quote must say

A good quote is a plan, not just a number. If any of these are missing, ask the clinic to add them in writing before you pay anything.

Short answer

A proper All-on-6 quote states whether it covers one jaw or both, the implant brand and system, the number of implants, the temporary and final bridge and their materials, scans, extractions, medication, hotel and transfers, the price of any extras such as grafts, what the guarantee covers, and who pays if something needs fixing.

The checklist

#The quote should sayWhy
01One jaw or bothThe single biggest reason two prices don't compare.
02Number of implants per jaw"All-on-6" should mean six. If the plan changes after the scan, you should know why.
03Implant brand and systemA UK dentist needs this to find parts and tools later.
04Temporary teethSo you're not left without teeth while the implants heal.
05Final bridge and its materialSome low quotes stop after the temporary stage.
06Framework (for example a titanium bar)It affects strength and price.
073D scan, X-rays and medicationSmall items that add up if charged separately.
08ExtractionsSome clinics charge per tooth.
09Prices for grafts, sinus lift, zygomatic implantsYou may only find out you need them on the scan.
10Hotel nights and transfers per tripSo you can budget travel properly.
11Guarantee termsWhat's covered, for how long, and on what conditions.
12Who pays if something needs fixingIncluding travel and accommodation for a repair trip.

Questions to send the clinic

Copy these into an email or WhatsApp message. A good clinic will answer them all in writing.

  1. Is this price for one jaw or both?
  2. Which implant brand and system will you use, and how many implants per jaw?
  3. Does the price include temporary teeth and the final bridge? What is the final bridge made of?
  4. Are the 3D scan, extractions, X-rays and medication included?
  5. If I need a bone graft or sinus lift, what does it cost?
  6. How many hotel nights are included on each trip, and are transfers included?
  7. What does your guarantee cover, and who pays the travel if something needs fixing?
  8. Will I receive an implant passport with the brand, system and sizes of each implant?

Warning signs

Think twice if there's a hard sell, a lack of information, pressure to decide quickly, no discussion of possible complications, or no mention of aftercare. These are the NHS's own warning signs for treatment abroad.

Now add it all up

Put the quote into the calculator. Anything the quote doesn't include appears as a question to ask. Then check the hidden extras most often left out.

Common questions

Should I get a quote before an X-ray?

You can get a guide price, but a reliable plan needs at least an X-ray, and ideally a 3D scan. Expect the plan to be confirmed after the scan.

What if the clinic won't put it in writing?

Treat that as a warning sign. The NHS lists a lack of information and pressure to decide quickly among the signs to think carefully about.

Is a guarantee worth anything if I'm in the UK?

Only if it says what's covered, for how long, and who pays the travel to have it fixed. Read the terms before you book.

Should my UK dentist see the quote?

Yes. The Oral Health Foundation strongly recommends speaking to your own dentist before treatment abroad.
